And that’s perfectly fine…

I didn’t get the job I truly wanted.

I didn’t end up with the cool mom car.

I missed the invite, and a friend didn’t show…

AND THAT’S OKAY…

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Faith allows you to trust in God’s wisdom, even when circumstances are hard to bear.

Looking back, those concerns seem trivial now, even though they felt significant at the time.

I’m now in a wonderful job—more than I ever dreamed of. The unanswered prayer has, in many ways, answered itself.

As for that cool mom car, I still don’t have it, and that’s alright. I’ll keep working hard, and one day I will. For now, I pray it gets me safely from point A to point B, and the dashboard lights? They just add a festive touch!

The invite I didn’t receive… that was tough. It took a lot of self-reflection. God and I have spent time processing this together.

Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you."

This verse became a source of comfort during that challenging time.

It reminds me to stay focused on God’s promises and presence, to place my full trust in Him, and to find a deep, enduring peace that touches every part of my life.

So, how does this relate to missing an invitation from a friend?

I’ve learned that there’s a bigger purpose at play. I wasn’t meant to be there; God had me exactly where I needed to be. Perhaps it was at home with my family, diving deeper into my Bible, or calling my mom to check in. Maybe it was simply a reminder to slow down and replenish my spirit with positivity.

Am I upset? Not at all. Everyone’s journey with Christ is unique. Sometimes, losing certain things or relationships is necessary for us to draw closer to God.

AND THAT’S OKAY…
