For all have sinned...

Look no one is perfect.

We ALL know this, we've heard it our whole lives. BUT somehow it’s gotten to where people act as if others are supposed to be perfect and no one should be making mistakes. Go look at anyones social media posts in the comments and you'll see what I mean. So much judgment and expecting others to be perfect beings, it’s getting tough.

Usually these same people have sins piling up on their plate as well but since it's not out there for everyone to see they project those onto others.

I'm here to say, it's ok that you aren't perfect! Jesus died on the cross for our sins BECAUSE we aren't perfect and he paid for that in his blood.

I'm definitely not perfect, I cuss too

much, I enjoy mainstream music some consisting of horrible language, I judge people without realizing I'm even doing it, I lose my temper, I don’t forgive others easily... The list goes on and on. All of these reasons are why I pray, I ask God for his forgiveness on a daily basis, I tell him I have sinned and I am a sinner. And I tell him that I am trying to do better and will continue to strive to be better.

I work on my sins daily, some days are much better than others, but I want to make it clear that I don’t believe it’s ok to continue to sin without regard to what I’m doing. I feel that there is a misconception about sins and prayer. Some continue to commit the same sin over and over again... are they doing it because they have the "blanket of protection" that is prayer? Or is it just because the enemy is at them all day and sometimes they just can't shake him off? It could be a combination of both, but that is the point here... NO ONE knows. No one knows their relationship with the Lord, no one knows what their walk is like, no one truly knows any of this BUT GOD. It is not our job to judge those who say they are believers in Christ but their actions may state otherwise. It's our job to pray for those people!

I don't give up on trying to be better and you shouldn't either.

It’s not going to be easy, if it was then there would be no sin. Oh what a world that would be! But until that day comes, lean on Jesus. Look to him for all of your worries and doubts. You must repent (admit you are a sinner) and know in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, rose again and that you want a relationship with him.

Any judgments that you have dealt with or will face, just know this… NO ONE BUT YOU knows what your relationship with Jesus looks like. No one walks in your shoes and knows your heart but you and Jesus. It's ok, pray, work on yourself, your relationship with Jesus, do better than you did yesterday...

& pray some more! 💚
